Nice work bolstering the source with an additional level of textural complexity via the breakbeats to drive the piece forward it all fits the theme of "Agression" well. Similar to " Picolescene" (including a reminiscent introduction here), Andy leans on lush pads to fill things out nicely during the quieter sections.

" We haven't had any Lufia repped since Nekofrog rocked it in 2010, so it's more than time for the next great Lufia series mix to arrive! When I hear Lufia II's "Battle #3," I wonder how it would sound with a Mega Man X soundset, as the composition really has a similar energy. Liontamer elaborates a bit more with his own thoughts: it's all about power, speed, and ooomph, more or less. bound to be some excellent entries! This mix makes excellent use of ISW's signature guitar library & brings the heat with tight, brisk, compressed beats, searing guitars (like the title says!), and synths that soar over & around the underlying mayhem. Speaking of Shreddage, there's actually a "Gods of Valhalla" songwriting competition going on over at Impact Soundworks RIGHT NOW, with a July 28th cutoff. It was also great practice in sequencing and performing with my very own Shreddage 2 virtual instrument. This is the most bombastic, awesome, and fun way I could think of paying it tribute. I've always loved this theme since the moment I first heard it as a kid playing through Lufia 2. This remix was loooots of fun to make! High-energy synth metal inspired by S.S.H and maybe even a little bit of WillRock too. "A hot-blooded, uptempo synth rock/metal remix by zircon arranging the Sinistral Battle ("Battle 3") theme from the classic SNES game Lufia 2, one of my favorite JRPGs of all time! This song was created with FL Studio and extensively uses Shreddage II with Shreddage Classic. And while it excels at rock & metal playing (both lead and rhythm alike), it is also well-suited for many other genres thanks to its clean tone and huge range.Well, it's zircon (Andrew Aversa), it's Lufia II, and for many if not most of you, that should easily be enough :) Andy hits us with an aggressive EDM/metal hybrid: It is a complete instrument with elegant scripting, intuitive mapping, and incredible depth. Shreddage II is our answer to the challenge of total guitar sampling. Other libraries have attempted this challenge, but through our own experiences and the words of our users, we discovered common problems: bloated memory and CPU usage, limited range, incomprehensible mapping and keyswitches, overly complex scripting, and a lack of attention to detail & realism.

However, as useful as the original Shreddage was, our users overwhelmingly desired a true sequel: an instrument that would take the incredible realism of Shreddage and apply it to a comprehensive library capable of lead playing as well.

We were content to focus strictly on rhythm playing, with the idea that perhaps other virtual instruments would service for lead playing. With that release, our goal was to create an easy-to-use set of DI rock & metal guitar sounds, pushing the envelope of realism and establishing a new standard for electric guitar samples. This virtual instrument was designed to be a true successor to our original Shreddage electric rhythm guitar library used by thousands of composers and producers all over the world. Welcome to Shreddage II: Absolute Electric Guitar.
